Our medium hotplates (Model 210) measure approximately 45 cm x 30 cm. Every SEM hotplate is rugged, durable, and designed to provide uniform temperature distribution across the entire surface after a set period. The bodies are constructed from mild steel with a hard-wearing enamel finish or stainless steel with rubber feet for stability.
Cast iron top units are equipped with energy regulators, reaching temperatures up to 400°C, and are also available with a PID controller. Aluminum top units are thermostatically controlled up to 280°C, with optional PTFE aluminum (Teflon “Silverstone”) coating for enhanced chemical resistance. Solid-state instruments can be added for finer temperature control, and stainless steel surrounds are available for sand bath heating. We supply: Lab Stirrers , Lab Glassware , Lab Mixers.
For larger SEM models, a separate controller can be supplied. Cast iron or other hotplate models can be equipped for use in highly corrosive environments, featuring acid-resistant element leads and 316 stainless steel components for the heavy acid range.
Note: All SEM units can be supplied with a separate remote temperature controller housed in a stainless steel case at an additional cost.
